The Journey Beneath the Scope

My story began at Sri Ramachandra Medical College, Chennai — a place that built both my clinical foundation and my compassion for patient care.

I went on to complete my postgraduate training in Orthopaedics at Mahatma Gandhi Medical College & Research Institute, Puducherry, where I began my early training in arthroscopy under Prof. Krishnagopal. His mentorship first opened my eyes to the possibilities of minimally invasive joint surgery — the precision, the grace, and the purpose behind every movement restored.

After that, life brought me full circle — back to Sri Ramachandra, to the Centre for Sports Science, under the guidance of the world-renowned arthroscopist Prof. Arumugam Sivaraman. He gave wings to my dreams and nurtured me under his wings for more than a decade, teaching not just arthroscopy, but leadership, empathy, and life itself.

Beside me through every stride was Dr. Bhupesh Karthik, my respected senior and quiet force — the invisible air that propels me forward, steady and unseen, yet always present.

My pursuit of mastery then took me across the world — to Germany, where I completed my Primary Fellowship in Arthroscopy and Arthroplasty at Marien Hospital, Erwitte under Dr. Dirk Baumann.
To the United States, for an Advanced Arthroscopy Fellowship at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, New Hampshire under Prof. John Nutting.
To Israel, for Advanced Shoulder Arthroscopy and Arthro-Latarjet training with Dr. Avi Chezar at Ha’Emek Medical Center.
To France, for Foot and Ankle Arthroscopy with Dr. Stéphane Guillo in Bordeaux and Hip Arthroscopy with Dr. Nicholas Bonin at Lyon Ortho Clinic.

Each place became a chapter.
Each mentor, a compass.
Each patient, a reminder, that restoring movement is not just a skill, but a calling.
